Lakers !!! GoodNight Now!!

When the post season starts, the Los Angeles Lakers' season will be over.

They didn't go out in style either, falling victim to a record-setting 3-point barrage by the Phoenix Suns. Quentin Richardson scored 21 of his 25 points on 3-pointers, and the Suns routed the Lakers 125-99 Tuesday night to knock the defending Western champs out of the playoffs for the first time in 11 years.

''I think in their minds we were eliminated before tonight,'' said coach Frank Hamblen, who confessed to trying to play everyone so that the front office can evaluate the team's talent to rebuild in the post-Shaquille O'Neal era.

''There's some guys that aren't here who, the last five years we were in the finals, so I'd say that's what the big difference is,'' Hamblen said.

The Lakers, who lost for the 12th time in 13 games, played this one with Kobe Bryant resting his injured right leg.

Richardson had 25 points and 10 rebounds, and the Suns won their sixth straight. I really didn't see this coming??!! Did you? Hey you know something, if you can predict who will win this years NBA title, lay some money on the line. Odds are you'll get it wrong but have some fun anyways. It's RaceBook Gambling Time

Horse Racing

Lets get at it shall we? Ever wanted to know how the whole horse race gambling thing worked? Well now is your chance to learn. Check back over the next week for our updating lesson in how to gamble on the horses.

Part 1 - Straight Bets

WIN - A "WIN" bet is just what it sounds like: betting that the horse you pick will win the race. You win if the horse wins.

PLACE - For a horse to "PLACE" it must finish the race either first or second. This bet generally pays less than the win bet but it gives you two chances to win instead of just one.

SHOW - For a horse to "SHOW" it must finish the race either first, second or third. This bet generally pays less than either the win or place bet, but it gives you three chances to get a return for your investment.

ACROSS THE BOARD - This is a quick way to say that I want to bet a horse to finish in any of the first three positions etc. ($2 Across The Board = $2 to win, $2 to place, and $2 to show). If the horse wins you collect all three bets. If the horse finishes 2nd then you collect the place and show bets. If the horse finishes 3rd then you will only collect the show bet.

A Group Try - The SHOW PARLAY - This is always fun to do when you are at the track with a group of friends. Each participant contributes to the pool of betting money (i.e. $5). You elect a captain to make the wager. Everyone participating gets to vote for their choice of the horse to show. You place the bet on the horse that gets the most votes. If the horse finishes in the top three positions you add the winnings to the pool of betting money and select another race to do the same thing.

Remember that it is not a good idea for this parlay bet or any other bet to attempt to play every race on the card. Some races are much harder to determine the winners. These races should be passed and save your money for better opportunities. As with most everything in life it is more fun to win than lose.

Loser Of The Day

Yesterday somewhere in a southern state (LOL) a man pulled a gun on some women and made them disrobe. Yes! This really happened. A man who could not find his cell phone pulled a gun and ordered three women to take off their clothes to see whether they were hiding it, police said.

The cell phone was later found at another location. An incident report from the Columbia, South Carolina Police Department gave this account: A man identified only as “Fat Daddy” went to a Chappelle Street residence Saturday night to find his cell phone. When the resident — a 39-year-old woman — told him she did not see it, he pulled out a pistol. He said if his cell phone was not found “that there was going to be a blood bath in here.” He then ordered the resident and two other women, ages 28 and 21, to take off their clothes.

The first woman told him to call the cell phone to prove it was not there. When he did, someone answered it at another location, and the man left. Oh well?? He got his show I guess. Wonder if there was a pole in the house?
