Everyday right here you can preview the top picks for this years big college football entry draft into the the big boys league........the NFL of course. Lets get at it. Alex Barron, OT, Florida State.....Could we see him go #12 to the San Diego Chargers?

Blessed with prototypical left tackle size at 6'6", 308 pounds, Barron started for his last two-and-a-half seasons with the Seminoles and would figure to give the Chargers a long-term solution at left tackle.

NFL Update

First lets start with the Brett Farve News, returning to Green Bay for the 2005 season, Packers coach Mike Sherman told The Associated Press. Sherman said Thursday he had a two-hour conversation with his quarterback on Wednesday night. Favre informed him his wife is doing well in her cancer treatment, so he's planning to play at least one more season, maybe more if his own health holds up. ''It came down to his wife and she's doing well in her recovery,'' Sherman said. ''She wants him to play. He said he's looking forward to playing - hopefully without any off-the-field situations and `enjoying the journey.'' The ultimate winner here is going to be the fan. Don't think for a second that everyone in Wisconsin wasn't holding their breath a little this week. Oh quick hit, this afternoon the Packers released starting safety Darren Sharper on Thursday to trim $3.4 million off their salary cap and avoid having to pay him a $2.6 million roster bonus this weekend.

Farve Tice

Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Tice acknowledged scalping some of his personal Super Bowl ticket allotment last month in violation of NFL rules, according to a published report. ''I probably shouldn't have sold my tickets,'' Tice told in a report posted on the Web site Thursday night. ''I made a mistake. I regret it. I'll never do it again. I'm going to be in trouble. I'll probably get slapped with a big fine.'' The revelation came two days after first reported that Tice was being investigated for allegedly heading up a ticket-scalping operation within the Vikings organization. Tice did not immediately return a phone message left late Thursday by The Associated Press. Click here to find out more! The NFL acknowledged Wednesday that it is looking into allegations that Tice scalped Super Bowl tickets. Tice earlier confirmed to the AP that he had met with league security officials, but declined to elaborate. According to, Tice told NFL security investigators that he scalped part of his allotment of 12 tickets to this year's Super Bowl.

NCAA Conference Tournaments

The madness has begun and we're still a week away from the "Big Dance", but someone forgot to tell the teams that our heart can only take so many wild finishes. This past weekend Illinois saw their dreams of a perfect season dashed by the Ohio State Buckeyes in the dying seconds, while North Carolina, Florida and Missouri, prevailed in other frantic finishes. All this points to an incredible week of wagering action, as we get set for St. Patrick’s Day! Now’s the time to head to our NCAA sportsbooks and select a couple of teams to win the “Big Dance” and you can grab some super odds. For me the best play is Wake Forest right now at 12-1 odds, as this team will probably grab a number one seed and that usually means Final Four appearance! Beware of Syracuse, who may kick it in to high gear, as they have experience on their side.

New Mexico
North Carolina State
Kent State

Friday Minnesota vs. Indiana Could very well be an "elimination game," especially for IU. Bucknell at Holy Cross Numbers notwithstanding, the Patriot will not be a two-bid league. Saturday Northeastern at Vermont It says here that Vermont will not be an at-large team with a loss.

Another Coach Gets Into It With A Cop??!!

Richard Conover, basketball coach at Waterford High School in Connecticut, was arrested at halftime of a state tournament game after an altercation with a Beacon Falls police officer. According to reports, the referee called a technical foul on Conover with 2:26 left in the first half, after the coach loudly protested a foul called on one of his players. The ref asked him to sit and when he would not, an officer on patrol at the game then approached Conover, and the two exchanged words. And you know what happens after that don't you? If you don't read on. Article

This was taken at last weekend's Ford Championship after Phil had missed a putt on the 18th green that would have tied the score with Tiger Woods. Much can be written about this particular photo (and the captions could get ugly), but we'll leave it up to you to figure out.

What Is Britney Up To Now?
Britney Spears was thrown out of two Beverly Hills restaurants because she refused to leave her dog outside. The singer and husband Kevin Federline were asked to leave Euro-Asian eatery Crustacean, because her pet dog Bit Bit's presence would have broken health and safety regulations.

The couple then headed to the Trattoria Amici Restaurant, but left after a waiter explained dogs are not permitted in the establishment, reports

However, the Trattoria Amici Restaurant's manager had a change of heart and chased the pair down the road to offer them a table, on the condition that Spears hid Bit Bit in her bag. Isn't that sweet? Bit Bit??!! I don't believe this one. Article
